If you are an ATV enthusiast or have a 4wd vehicle then you will enjoy Lake Tamarisk Desert Resort. Except for Desert Center, the Chuckwalla Valley is largely undeveloped desert, with areas and roads just waiting to be explored by the off road adventurer. The area is filled with mines, rock formations, historic sites and remote areas of quiet, undisturbed beauty.
Tuesdays in the winter join the resort members for an organized ATV ride. There are two groups, one is a faster paced longer ride or join the second group for a more relaxing slower pace, shorter ride.
Our residents can suggest some great riding spots, and give you the directions you need to get there. A popular ride is out to the Praying Nun, Weeping Widow or Grieving Woman, whatever y ou call her,it's a popular rock formation at the foot of the Chuckwalla Mountains, just south of The Park.
